This is the page where you can find news about litters. We post information on the sires and dams, along with pictures so you can see who is who. The dates given for expected date to whelp are accurate. Dogs have a 63 day pregnancy from the date of the breeding. When one of our females is in heat, we try to post that information along with the sire that is chosen and her approximate whelp date. The accurate whelp date is not known until after the breeding. If the sire is an established stud, we can give a pretty close idea as to what colors and/or coats we expect in the litter.
Puppies are ready for homes around 8 weeks of age. Some puppies do take a little longer. We do not separate puppies from their mothers. We always allow the mothers to wean naturally, and separate herself from the puppies gradually as nature intended.
